From the "Alta Vallagarina", Moscato Giallo is the white wine par excellence. Grown in an area around the hill of Castel Beseno where it finds an ideal habitat because of the remarkable temperature range between day and night.
A mild climate and medium solar radiations during the day are beneficial to its ripening. All this allows to keep and increase the value of a vast range of fragrances that are typical of this white berry varietal. "Castel Beseno" is our enological interpretation of Moscato grapes, partially dried in the vineyard and partially in the cellar for one month. The Moscato Giallo grapes are grown in the middle hill where of Castel Beseno, in the municipal territory of Besenello. They are picked after an accurate selection of “aromatic ripening” that is after a slight over ripening in plants.
This is produced through a cold 24-hour steeping followed by a soft grape pressing. The winemaking "in white" at low temperatures guarantees a proper extraction and long aromatic persistence. It is then refined in steel for about 5 months to be finally bottled and ready to be consumed. The colour is intense straw yellow with golden tints and the perfume is intensily aromatic slightly nosing Golden apple and ripe pears, delicate and fragrant. Unique in its kind, it is sweet, full bodied, harmonious and well balanced round the palate. A good aperitif, its sweetness magnifies both simple and elaborate confectionery. For a full taste, this wine should be served at a temperature of about 8°C.
